Sen. BNY eyes institutional Bitcoin, Ethereum custody for investors in UAE

BNY is partnering with Abu Dhabi-based Finstreet and the ADI Foundation to launch regulated institutional custody for Bitcoin and Ethereum for UAE clients from the Abu Dhabi Global Market, pending final agreements and regulatory approvals. The service will begin with custody for Finstreet’s existing customers and may later expand to support stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets and other regulated digital instruments, potentially leveraging ADI Foundation’s ADI Chain infrastructure. Stablecoin industry opposes Bank of England’s unhosted wallet ban

UK crypto firms are pushing back against a Bank of England proposal that would bar stablecoins from being held or transferred via “unhosted” (self-custody) wallets.
