🔵 Airdrop brings 300,000+ users to token minting platform Zora

Token minting platform Zora has now become the most popular dapp on Base, thanks to the launch event for the $ZORA token. In this newsletter we will also look at the play-to-earn game FishWar, a new social media platform, and we're suddenly seeing strong activity with Abstract Global Wallet.

💥 $ZORA airdrop attracts 300,000+ wallets

Token minting platform Zora has launched its ZORA token today, and the token now has a $0.0229 price tag. The Zora platform has been live since the Spring of 2022, and attracted thousands of users in August and September 2023. However, activity dropped to a couple of dozen users per day in March this year.

Yesterday, Zora launched the ZORA token. Users need to claim their tokens, which means DappRadar has seen an incredible influx of activity. On April 23rd, a total of 233,820 wallets engaged with the platform, likely claiming their airdrop.

This airdrop now makes Zora the most used dapp in the Base ecosystem. That means that Zora outperformers Uniswap V2, V3, and V4, 1inch Network and Jumper Exchange.

🔎🟢 Abstract Global Wallet from nothing to 16,950+

With native Account Abstraction, the Abstract ecosystem is setting an example for the wider Web3 community. Moreover, their Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) allows users to engage with dapps without having to worry about gas fees.

Since this week, we can also see the number of active wallets engaging with the wallet. Before DappRadar tracked the number of transactions, but couldn't track the wallets. Now we can, and Abstract Global Wallet registered 16,950 active wallets in the past 7 days.

💛 Dormant NFT collection finds hype on BNB Chain

The BNB Smart Chain ecosystem has seen its NFT trading volume triple over the past week. In the past 7 days it recorded $2.63 million in NFT trading volume, up 197% from the week before. The number of traders increased by 75% to 1,190 unique traders, while the number of sales went up 32% to 2,280.

Most of the trading action took place on Element Market, responsible for $2.61 million. The market's trading volume went up 200%. The reason for this pump? An NFT collection called ProudKittyGang, which depicts sphynx cats in different attires. The most expensive NFT in the collection sold 2 days ago for 12 BNB, or $7,320 at the time of the sale.

What's odd. The collection is 3 years old. The PKGNFT account on X has been dormant for almost 18 months. So why are these cats now finding renewed success?
