Thousands of XRP wallets were emptied in six waves after attackers obtained the keys needed to sign ordinary transactions. DCENT’s warning reaches beyond its software wallet: hardware-wallet owners can also be affected if they previously entered the same recovery phrase into the app. Moving an exposed phrase to a different device does not remove that exposure.
