✨ Bigcoin and $BIG, pure GameFi or Ponzi scam?

💥 DeFi stabilizes above $100 billion TVL

Since December last year, the total value locked in DeFi projects has been dropping. The underlying value of crypto plays a big role there. Right now the TVL seems to have bottomed above $100 billion. Platforms like the Iguana DEX on Etherlink, the memecoin platform Pump.Fun on Solana, and lending platform Sparklend on Ethereum, have all seen strong increases in their TVL.

Moreover, new protocols like Uniswap V4 see clear adoption with a 32% TVL increase in the past 30 days. They now have $118 million locked in their smart contracts. While SushiSwap's TVL increased by 18% to $132 million.

📉 Bigcoin and $BIG, GameFi or Ponzi?

Less than a week ago, the Abstract ecosystem saw a new dapp being launched: Bigcoin. It has users building a virtual token mining farm, and then using $BIG tokens to expand their farm. Activity peaked on Friday with 48,000 active wallets, but over the weekend criticism popped up. Bigcoin benefits early adopters, making the project more akin to a game of hot potato. And you don't want to be the last one holding a hot potato.

However, anonymous spokesman Satoshi Bigmoto keeps building and introducing new features, mechanics and game items. But new token sinks and burn mechanisms don't take away the earlier mentioned worries. In its debut week, Bigcoin attracted 65,300 active wallets, responsible for a total of 503,490 transactions with a total incoming volume of more than $882,000.

🎲 New gamified trading project takes off on Zetachain

This April, BURNT.gg launched on Zetachain. The platform labels itself as a social experiment, and lets players buy or sell tokens before a set deadline. The game has you buying the BURNT token, and you need to get 5% in your hands in order to claim a prize pool made from the fees on the token.

📊 Raydium recovers and gives hope for Solana

In the past 7 days, the TVL on Raydium has increased 18% to $1.19 billion. While it's far down from the January top of over $3 billion, the TVL on the leading market maker on Solana has remained quite stable since mid-February.

In the past week we've seen a 48% increase in wallets interacting with the DeFi platform, reaching a total of 3.86 million active wallets. However, they transacted 2% less transactions: 21.78 million. This would highlight renewed interest in crypto, memecoins and token swaps.
