(source) 🟦 Prediction protocol Myriad passed $10 million in USDC trading volume from over 500,000 users. They see it as a new type of DeFi product. (source) 🔷 The blockchain industry will have 5 billion crypto users when the next bullrun happens, according to Crypto.com. This milestone should happen within 10 years. Crypto.com thinks using crypto will be as common as credit card payments. No doubt, they expect Cronos to make a major impact. 🔵 The Solana community will soon approve the Alpenglow upgrade, bringing transaction finality on Solana in line with Google search speeds. The upgrade will make finality drop from 12.8 seconds to 150 milliseconds. (source) 🟦 Memecoin launchpad Pump.fun on Solana used $62 million on $PUMP token buybacks to boost the $PUMP price. The company bought 16.5 billion $PUMP with an average price of $0.003785. (source) 🔷 Gunzilla's GUN token is now 100% compliant with the European Union's new Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR). That's a first for a gaming token, and good news for Off the Grid players. (source) 🔥Linea, Celo and Cronos were huge in August 2025 Linea, Celo and Cronos were the top 3 blockchain ecosystems that have seen the biggest growth in terms of dapp volume. Dapp volume is all about value flowing into smart contracts, which can be staking, providing liquidity, purchasing or swapping. It says something about the money people are putting into an ecosystem.  Linea has seen the most growth, pumping their dapp volume by 484% to $2.31 billion. Liquidity hub Etherex made a huge splash, after launching on July 26th it generated over $1 billion in dapp volume. Also ODOS and Mendi were among the top dapps by dapp volume on Linea.  TON and Base complete the Top 5. While Linea, Celo, Cronos and TON all have smaller volume of dapp volume, the growth on Base is quite remarkable. They went up 91% to $26.6 billion, driven by DeFi products such as Uniswap V4, Morpho and Uniswap V2. The onchain risk-to-earn MMO has players battling to the death, and the loser really loses their crypto. It's a bit like skill-based betting, but your skill really determines whether you win.  In the beginning of August, Cambria was relaunched with new updates and this brought over 2,000 players to the game during the month. They were responsible for 195,190 transactions and $5.9 million in dapp volume.  While most crypto games thrive in their early months, it's encouraging to see that Cambria still attracts an audience. It launched in November 2023 and had its best period in April, May and June 2024. Back then millions flowed into the smart contracts of Cambria. The dapp volumes aren't the same, but the return of Cambria is something quite remarkable in the current crypto gaming climate.  Explore Cambria 💥 Blur leads in volume, but OpenSea in sales  With 1.66 million sold NFTs in the past 30 days, OpenSea is still the undisputed leader among all NFT marketplaces. Especially the integration of Base and Abstract NFTs plays a role here. However, when it comes to trading volume Blur takes the crown with $129.3 million. That's more than double the volume of OpenSea ($62.25 million), but with less than 25,000 sold items Blur has a fraction of the activity of other marketplaces.  However, the biggest growth in August can be found with Sorare. The fantasy football card game thrives once again, since the new football season started.
