🔵 Bearish crypto momentum hurts NFT marketplaces

Crypto has taken a massive hit across the board, as major tokens lost 5% up to 35% in the past week. This negative trend also has a reflection on the trading activity for NFTs. As crypto prices drop hard, we traditionally also see a drop in NFT trading activity.

OpenSea saw a drop of 22% to 1.85 million NFTs sold in the past 7 days, while total volume dropped 27% to $86.6 million. Even popular marketplaces such as card collectible portal Courtyard or fantasy sports platform Sorare have seen serious drops in trading volume. Courtyard went down 38% to $4.4 million, while Sorare noted a 21% drop to $712,000.
