Over the weekend, Bitcoin made a strong push above $100,000. This momentum also brought excitement to dapps, chains and entire ecosystems. In this newsletter we take a look at where they money is flowing, in order to identify exciting opportunities.

Lending protocols see surge in TVL and Volume

Lending protocols have been on the radar for quite some time, and as Bitcoin increased in value these platforms grew their dapp volume often by more than 100%. Moreover, the TVL of these lending protocols increased 30% to 50%. Market leader LIDO grew its volume 208% to $97.59 million, increasing its TVL 38% to more than $1 billion. Other top performers were Maple, Superlend and Summer.Fi.

Activity in AI dapps up from 3 million to peak at 7 million

AI dapps have had a good run lately, also highlighted in our most recent report. In March the AI ecosystem attracted 3 million UAW per day, and that number increased to exceeds over 6 million in the past week. There was even a peak when the number of active wallets almost exceeded the 7 million mark.

Aside from the excitement around AI dapps, these also represent an opportunity to try dapps early. Early adopters could very well position themselves nicely for a potential airdrop. However, these rewards from airdrops are never guaranteed.

Value of gaming tokens increased 26.6% last week

In the past 7 days, the total market cap for gaming tokens has increased 26.6%, reaching a total of $11.4 billion. With a 71% increase, metaverse gaming token HYPER made a splash. The same can be said about MCADE, which grew its value 86%.

Other strong performers have been gaming ecosystem tokens, such as Chromia, Gala and Ronin.
